Annual HOA Meeting - Thursday, October 18, 2018 @ Dream Kitchens!

Join us again for another fun gathering at the Oak Meadow Homeowners annual meeting! It's a great chance to connect with other neighbors over dinner and drinks, hear an update on the HOA, and elect new members to the Board. The event starts at 6:00 pm @ Dream Kitchens at 5117 Verona Rd. Fitchburg, WI 53711. Neighbors should have received a mailing about the event (and an email if you have an email address on file). Additionally, all positions on the board are up for election this year (terms coming to an end and a few departures in the neighborhood). Please contact the current President at president@oakmeadowhomeowners.org if you are interested in any of the open positions (President, VP, Communications, Events, Membership, Architecture, or Treasurer).

Movie in the Park! - Saturday, September 8, 2018

Join neighbors in the park on September 8, 2018 for this fun event! We'll have games, food trucks, and a showing of the movie Ferdinand. Free snow cones from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The movie will start playing at dark. See the attached flyer for more details!

2018 Neighborhood Garage Sale - May 4 and 5

It’s Garage Sale Season! The Oak Meadow Neighborhood annual garage sale will be Friday and Saturday May  4 & 5. General hours will be 8:00 am—2:00 pm each day but you are welcome to have different hours. If you would like to participate in the garage sale, email Trina at communications@oakmeadowhomeowners.org. Include your name, house address, and a short list of featured items (ex. Furniture, children’s toys, books, etc.). We  will include information in advertising through Facebook, Craigslist and NextDoor Fitchburg. We will have some  signage around the neighborhood the week before the event, but additional signage at your home will be helpful. Fingers crossed for great weather (just like last year!)

 

HOAppy Hour set for April 6!

Back by popular demand, we'll be having the spring happy hour again this year at Benvenuto's. Come to Benvenuto's on April 6th between 6:00 - 9:00 pm for drinks, hors d'oeuvres and a chance to catch up with neighbors!

Now Collecting 2018 HOA Dues!

We are beginning to collect Home Owner Association Dues for 2018. The annual dues are $50 and are due March 31, 2018.
 
These dues cover the Association's expenses such as:
  • Common area mowing and landscaping
  • Neighborhood events such as Movie in the Park and Neighborhood Happy Hour
  • Rain garden maintenance
  • Annual meeting expenses and dinner
  • PO Box & Misc Tax Filings
  • Paper Mailings and Postage
 
There are two ways to pay (cash is not accepted):
1. Mail a check to the HOA address:

2. PayPal: use the link on www.oakmeadowhomeowners.org/dues or send the payment to the treasurer email address: treasurer@oakmeadowhomeowners.org.
 

2017 Annual HOA Meeting - October 12 at Dream Kitchens

We are mixing up the Annual Meeting this year and heading down the road to Dream Kitchens for a great opportunity to discuss Oak Meadow topics and have a chance to socialize with fellow neighbors. The event will be from 6:00—8:00 pm Thursday, October 12th at Dream Kitchens, 5117 Verona Road in Fitchburg.  We’ll provide a lasagna dinner from Gino’s again this year as well as a variety of beverages. Our agenda will include the standard annual updates, election of board members (see post below), as well as a guest speaker from the Fitchburg Rec Department to talk about space planning for the Oak Meadow Park. Please note: this is an adult only event for households in our neighborhood. We’ll send more communication closer to the date. We hope you can all attend!

 

Annual Movie in the Park September 9, 2017!

Head to Oak Meadow Park on Saturday, Sept. 9 for our annual movie in the park. Pack a dinner or buy one from one of the local food carts. Food carts will be available from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm and the movie will start around 8:45 pm. See you there!

2017 Neighborhood Garage Sale set for May 5 and 6!

As you probably already saw in the recent newsletters, our annual neighborhood garage sale is going to be Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6.  If you'd like to participate, please email Trina Johnson at communications@oakmeadowhomeowners.org. The general hours of the sale will be 8:00 am - 2:00 pm each day, but you can choose the days and hours that work best for your household. When emailing, please include your address, days and hours open and some highlights of items for your sale. If you send your info along by April 15, we can include your details in advertising. We already have a few homes that have signed up - the more the merrier (and the better for business!).


Neighborhood Happy Hour April 7, 2017

This is a great opportunity to meet new neighbors and catch up with old friends! Come for drinks and appetizers!

Movie in the Park - September 10!

Join your neighbors for the annual Oak Meadow Movie night at Oak Meadow Park on Saturday, September 10. The event starts at 5:30 and the movie will begin around 7:15.

Dinner: You can bring  a picnic from home or buy dinner from one of the food carts  (Slide and Soho).

Movie: This year, we are playing Beethoven! It’s a fun family movie about a St. Bernard. The movie is 87 minutes in length and rate PG.

What to Bring: Bring lawn chairs and a blanket to sit on during the movie and warm clothes in case it gets chilly. If you’re packing a picnic dinner, don’t forget that too!
