Dear Oak Meadow residents who (potentially) volunteered to host the Progressive Cocktail Party event, The headcount
so far (we will take a final headcount closer to the event), is ~50
guests. The headcount could rise to ~60, once we include new residents
who may not yet be on the Oak Meadow secretary’s e-mail list and to whom
we will be reaching out shortly as well. To host the event, there were - 6 houses whose owners volunteered - 4 additional houses whose owners responded that they may volunteer Because
our plan is to have 3 houses hosting the event (based on the
headcount), the social committee selected 3 houses from 6 houses whose
owners volunteered. The 3 host houses were selected based on location -
the committee was provided with a map, but not with owner names. The host houses that were selected this year are: - 5624 Old Oak Drive - 2619 Placid Street - 5656 Silver Oak Drive Having
said this, I would like to keep the other 3 houses whose owners
volunteered “as a backup”, in case owner(s) of one of the 3 selected
host houses has to change his/her/their plans for any reason. Also,
if this event will turn out to be a success and we plan to repeat it
next year, we will try to select host houses that did not host the event
the year before - if we have a choice of host houses again. The
allowance (from Oak Meadow) for each host house is $100. Keep in mind
that each person attending would bring with him/her either a bottle of
wine, or a 6-pack of beer or an appetizer. I will be working with the
hosts to coordinate with the guests on who needs to bring what. There will be a gathering at the Atomic Koi on Jan 4 at 7:00 pm to plan/organize this in more detail. Thank you, Anna Huetter |
