Oak Meadow/Fitchburg School Update

posted Aug 19, 2011, 9:24 AM by Oak Meadow Administration

The below message is from Becky Baumbach, Oak Meadow HOA President and Fitchburg City Alder

The Fitchburg City Council is holding an information and discussion session with leaders of the 3 school districts that serve Fitchburg to discuss common issues including their plans for growth in the city.  The Council has initiated this conversation because the schools are key to maintaining the quality of life in Fitchburg.  This is an open governmental meeting and residents are free to attend.  It will be held at the library on Wednesday, August 24 at 7:00pm in room A&B.

Questions that will be asked of the school leaders will be collected ahead of time and will be asked by  Richard Bloomquist, the chair.

If anyone has topics or questions that they would like the school leaders to address they can submit them to me at

and I will pass them on to Richard for the discussion.

If persons are interested in the meeting, but are not able to attend, it can be viewed live on FacTV.  It can also be seen live and after the meeting through the city website.  Go to Live Streaming Meeting Links where it can be viewed live or scroll down to Archives.  This group is titled "Committee of the Whole".

The mayor and city council are interested in the health of the community and the key roll schools play in it, so welcome any questions and input into this discussion.
